Weddings That Last
As I listed in my previous article on this subject, I will list them here. These are the offensive clauses in the bill, if not unconstitutional and an unprecedented amount of government control into our personal finances, health, and general privacy which is supposed to be guaranteed by the constitution not to be violated by the government. In addition, we are required by law under this bill to purchase health insurance from the government or pay significant additional taxes. Page 268 Section 1141 – The Federal Government will regulate the rental and purchase of all power driven wheelchairs.
Page 280 Section 1151 – The government will penalize hospitals for re-admitting patients, if the government deems they are excessive or preventable.
Page 317 lines 13-20 – Prohibits doctor ownership in hospitals or any assets that include a hospital above a certain amount. Another serious constitutional infraction on the freedom and liberties we have in this country.
Pages 317-318 lines 25-25, 1-3 – The government mandates according to its own judgment what hospitals can expand and which ones can't.
Page 321 lines 2-13 – Hospitals can apply for exception to the above regulation, but community input is required, especially by community organizations such as ACORN.
Page 335 lines 16-25 and pages 336-339 – The government will establish "outcome based measures" which will make sure health care is provided as they see fit and will deny benefits for outcomes that don't meet their standards.
Page 341 lines 3-9 – Government has the power to disqualify medical plans and force everyone into the public "option" according to the "outcome based measures" established.
Page 354 Section 1177 – The government will restrict the enrollment, leaving certain special groups uncovered. (A blatant disregard for the public promises of getting everyone covered, which has been referred to as a "moral imperative.")
Page 379 Section 1191 – Creates a new bureaucracy, the Telehealth Advisory Committee. This committee will be making recommendations on what healthcare services will be provided and what will not.
Page 424 line 20- page 425 line 16 – government mandates "advanced care" consultations. Seniors are interviewed every year for their health issues and decisions will be made on what care they can and cannot have.
Page 425 lines 19-23 – The government will consult and instruct on "end of life" issues including living wills and durable powers of attorney. This will be mandatory. Is this where the "death panels" idea came from?
Page 425 lines 22-25 through page 426 lines 1-3 – The government provides an approved list of end of life resources to guide you into death. You have to die according to the government's standards.
Page 427 lines 15-24 – The government requires a program for orders concerning the end of life, when to sustain life and when not to. The government determines how your life ends.
Page 429 lines 1-9 – requires an advanced care planning consultation to be used frequently as a patient's health deteriorates.
Page 429 lines 10-12 – An advance care consultation may include an order for end of life plans from the government. (this isn't just getting your affairs in order, but how care will be suspended to let you die.)
Page 429 lines 13-25 – The government will specify which doctors can write an end of life order.
Page 430 lines 11-15 – The government determines what level of treatment you will get at end of life.
Page 469 – Establishes community based home medical services, likely through organizations like ACORN.
Page 472 lines 14-17 – There will be one monthly payment made to these community based organizations providing medical services.
Page 489 Section 1308 – The government will cover marriage and family therapies and will mean government control of who can provide this counseling and likely what advice they give as well as limit what they can be paid.
Page 494-498 – The government will control mental health services, including rationing those services.
If you want to read this bill yourself, then go to http://candicemiller.house.gov/pdf/hr3200.pdf while it is still there. Write your representatives and let them know you have read the bill, because they probably haven't, and tell them about these offensive provisions that lay the foundation for socialism and ultimately communist style rationing of services.

This is a scary piece of legislation, and the Senate version is probably just as scary given the way it was set up to pass. We need to start addressing the corruption in our system. Please log in to respond to this comment.I totally agree. Please log in to respond to this comment.
